Our nursing team is able to provide patients with a comprehensive travel advice and vaccination service.
Patients are requested to complete a travel questionnaire, 6 - 8 weeks before departure.
One form is required for each patient travelling. The completed form must be returned to reception.
A nurse will then assess your needs and record recommendations on the computer. While it is hoped this assessment will be made within 48hrs this cannot be guaranteed. After this time please contact reception and you will be informed of the result and any appropriate appointments can be made.
Vaccinations can be a single injection or a course of injections and an initial appointment should be no less than 4 weeks before departure.
Patients should be aware that not all vaccinations are available on the NHS, those that are not covered by the NHS will incur a charge. This also applies to malaria prescriptions.
In addition to vaccinations the nurses are able to provide you with information on other aspects of travel to help you have an enjoyable and safe trip.
